Canastralia runs a private Gmail connector for the mailbox of its own operator, Kyle Su. It is a single-user internal tool. It is not offered to the public, has no other users, and no one else's mail passes through it.
What it can do
The connector is authorised for Gmail's gmail.modify and gmail.settings.basic scopes. In practice that means it can:
- read and search the operator's mail;
- read and change labels;
- create drafts, and send mail as the operator;
- read and change basic mail settings.
It cannot permanently delete mail. That is a real limit of the scopes it holds, not a policy we could quietly change.
Where the data goes
Mail content is read to carry out the operator's own requests and is not copied anywhere else. Access tokens are stored locally on one machine belonging to the operator. Tokens are never transmitted to any third party.
What we do not do
- No data is sold.
- No data is shared with third parties.
- No data is used for advertising, profiling, or training.
